Madam Glam Swatch Spam (pt.1)

Hi guys and gals! Hope you all are having a great Friday! I am so glad it's the weekend, I need a break from running all over the place! Plus the weather is rainy and chilly, and I loooove to curl up and read on days like this.

Today I have part one of a two part post filled with swatches of polish from Madam Glam. I received a total of eight polishes to review and to save my cuticles and my sanity, I split them into two posts. And because I can't wait, I started with my favorite colors first!

(Madam Glam I Love Winter, Vintage Girl, Pastel Sky, Look At The Stars)

Madam Glam I Love Winter

I Love Winter is a blackened brown jelly with pink and orange micro glitters. It is a gorgeous, shimmery shade perfect for this time of year! I am usually not a fan of the darker colors like this, but am a total sucker for a good shimmer! The formula was goo, on the thicker side. It applied evenly with no dragging or clumping. It does dry down to a rough texture and I used two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top to get it smooth and glassy.

(Macro shimmer!)

Madam Glam Vintage Girl

Vintage Girl is a dusty mauve purple cream. This color gives me life! It is utter perfection and i cannot help but be all grabby hands when I find a polish in this color family. This one dried done a bit darker and more purple than I was expecting, but still oh so gorgeous! The formula was very thick - almost stringy. I had to be very precise and careful with my application so I didn't get bubbles or lumps. When I use it again, I will be adding some thinner to it. This is two coats followed by top coat.

Madam Glam Pastel Sky

Pastel Sky is a light and airy blue cream. The color is perfect. It is simply a very light blue without being chalky. I love it, but blues give me lobster hands. Doesn't mean I won't be wearing it, though! The formula was the same as Vintage Girl, thick and almost stringy. Again, thinner is the best thing to help in this situation. If a polish applies nicely, but is too thick for your taste, a few drops of thinner (not acetone) will fix the issue.

Madam Glam Look at The Stars

Look At The Stars is a royal blue jelly. It is so squishy and so blue and so pretty! I have a soft spot for blue jellies. Always a fun polish to play with. The formula was good, smooth application and not at all patchy like some jellies can be. It did take four coats to get the opacity shown. It's not quite opaque, but acceptable. The dry time. most likely due to the number of coats, was a little longer than the rest. Even with my top coat.

I am pretty happy with these polishes. Aside from the thickness of the creams (which can simply be solved by thinner) the colors are great!

In a few days, I will have the other four colors for review and a special surprise for you all! But you'll have to wait til then to see it.
